Hauteclocque's user profile begs to differ. He has the same level of access as all other community faction leads, hence is responsible for communication with the main PR team. Perhaps the fact that you say he isn't officially a leader is indicative of a requirement for that area to be sorted.

The reason beta testers have access to a private section of the forums is because, with good reason, test builds are private. Your faction lead is responsible for accessing the private sections of the forums as it is an issue with security, otherwise there would be a lot of work created by having large numbers of (often part time) community developers with access to private builds. Obviously if you have done a particularly large amount of work then this eventually may be recognised but until then you do not need private access to make models or maps etc.

I think you don't know the live of the FF ? So, i'm not lying if i say that. We don't need tittle for make our works.

Your complaint at a lack of communication with the main team (and reason apparent for this thread) indicates strongly to me that you really do need a leader.

Rhino gave feedback in that thread so he probably did take notice of it.

I guess the USI Milan was just easier and quicker to integrate into the MEC's deployable AT. It even has an appropriately high tripod and desert skin.

I agree, if it's faster and better ! Let's go ! I'm not stupid, i'm a PR fan.

But it's not easy when you see your works make for nothing.

And you know very well to put Milan on vehicles is really not a freaking priority. Maybe never.

If you're a beta tester, you do things for the PR core. A community faction remains a community faction until it's getting implemented. When new testbuilds are ready, with a comfac implemented, our beta testers test it, of course, as it becomes part of the PR core from then on.

Texturers, modellers and all the other wonderful people who put a lot of time in comfacs are doing amazing work. But because it's not the PR core, those people don't get access to the private testing forums and such. Also, our experience is that comfacs have a lot of different people working on things, some stay only a few weeks, others are there from beginning to end. If we would give all those people access to certain areas of the private forums, and revoke those rights when they stop working on a comfac, we might as well open it up to everyone, as it would be a 24/7 job to maintain it all . I'm sure you understand we can't go there.

Regarding differences between a normal gamer and a comfac lead, well, comfac leads have access to our R-CON forums as well as a private comfac leads forum. And there's a community faction manager around on most days.. What his name again......?



Edit: regarding the Milan. If the FF version of the model is of better quality and such, I don't see why the PR team wouldn't switch from the USI Milan to the FF version. Everything is subject to change if we find something better, hehe. Who knows, perhaps in a future version of PR, it'll feature the FF version .

True. Bao should still be proud of his work, even if it doesn't end up being used it'd be good for his portfolio.

As AD suggests, it could replace the USI Milan in future. I guess the lines of communications with the DEVs just need to be improved first.
