On the original topic, I really do not think that the French forces need to be concerned about being included. However, I do think community mods need to realize that time is counting down. Mods that don't have a timeline to be complete within the next 12 months will almost certainly not make it into PR, unless the DEVs decide to take it beyond 1.0

If you guys knew the amount of work that was needed to bring such factions to release quality once development went in-house, you would understand why it takes such a long time.

Also, the PR in-house factions especially our OPFOR are naturally prioritised over anything else.

keep going guys, if it wasnt for ppl like nosferatu, geze, zzez and fist their factions wouldnt have been so good, you just need to keep plugging away and turn out work, just like we (more or less!) do for every release!

This mod we live on. 4gbs or 50gbs im still downloading it. this mod is some thing nothing has ever come across. there some factions that some games out there by the High end developers dont put in. Im glad this mod is here. Canadians, and all thoses other factions iv never seen them in a game so New Factions = PR V _._ U fill in the blanks. Pr will live on aslong as the community dose.

You don't understand my/our problems.


If you take the French Forces for example, we have a devteam, with definite members. And we have a just one guy (R-COM Hauteclocque), who can communicates with the R-DEVs. I don't think R-DEVs know the members of the french forces devteam, or just the major members...

The communication between the R-DEVs and the members of the community factions is really awfull. For example, PR will use the USI Milan, but we have our own Milan (since may 2009). And no one show interest about it. http://www.realitymod.com/forum/f356...pon-milan.html

We have produced a lot of works, many models are done, but they need optimisation. And we need Help. Not for finish our job, just for help us when we need.

I'm a comfac dev, and only fews peoples know the works of my faction. We work alone, and without reconnaissance. And maybe for nothing... I spent too many hours for my faction.

Any one could understand my discouragement ?


Ps : i'm really sry for my bad english, but i need to express my feeling.

I see a lot of this sentiment from the french development team, especially over the last few months claiming lack of support and contact from the in-house dev team. Personally I can't see why this is the case when im sure you have the same level of support as the other community factions. There is no need for there to be a full list of the french dev team known by the main PR team, that is Hauteclocque's job to maintain the roster and if any of the main devs wish to know who is who then they will ask him. It is also your faction lead's job to carry out the communication with the main PR team, and to maintain said contact at all times. If you need help, go to your faction lead and he will contact the main development team with your request. That is how it has to work to maintain any order.

Disclaimer: my opinion, no-one elses.


There are also other factors, like FF being Blufor when the Opfor factions are being heavily prioritized and the fact that the main team are working flat out to get those items that are actually going in 0.9 ready for release. FF will not be in 0.9, neither will the Germans, you simply have to keep working until it is at release standard.

is your Milan finished(except model and texture) and ingame already? USI Milan seems to be already ingame and tested, if your Milan is ingame already, then it can be understandable position of not implementing non-tested thing at last moment(something i did at programming lesson once in uni and got torn apart for)

another moment might be lack of info on R-Dev side, the R-*** team is quite big, same is the mod, sometimes even R-DEVs dont know something exactly, but this is what your lead should take care of i think

it never hurts to ask, before throwing hissy fit and rage quit its better just ask, through post on forum, PM, you guys have your closed section also i guess
personally, i had lots of questions and while some answers were arriving sometimes like after 2 weeks(people are busy), i always had my questions answered, and i'm pretty much nobody here, just a random pr-player/forum user

One thing : Hauteclocque is not the leader of FF. Oficially we don't have any leader. But, in reallity, it's me and him who manage the french forces team.

And i never say FF have less help from R-DEVs than an another faction.

But do you find normal, people who works have not reconnaissance.

For example, you are beta tester and you work for PR. Also you can use the PR dogtag and you have acces on a private subforum. But what about the people who make models, texture, export, management, blablabla... for the community factions ? Nothing. No differences between a normal gamer and a comfac dev on the PR forum...
