The stuff featured in the house of pain mod I think can only be done with SF installed.

I think it uses something to do with its shaders or something to give better glows to the tracers, the tracer effect is rather awesome (not the muzzleflash stuff thats meh)

All the nice huds etc are all doable in BF2 afaik, Combined Arms uses several of the techniques.

When PR uses an object weapon or vehicle from Speacial Forces they just load it into there own files so that the SF EP isn't required. This is easily done as long as you have permission.

That tracer effect is pretty cool, but not worth losing players over.

Yeah... I don't think it's necessary
There would be a loss in players

Yes, PR uses some assets included in the Special Forces pack; this was okay'd by a chap at Dice.

Does that mean everyone has to have BFSF installed? No, because we include the relevant assets in the PR install; just like you don't have to download assets we're using that have been borrowed from USI, for example.

I recently bought a spare VBF2 compilation disc (with EF/AF/SF) from Amazon UK only £8.50!
Just in case....

does this mean we can use their tracers as well or are they no different?
