Well, for example you can engage a laze in an Mi-28 from 940ft, you can engage a target with LG from 750ft, both of these are above the gun elevation of the M1 and the M2. AH-64D's are less well off, needing to be 600ft to engage with LG, and 700ft for a laze. This means that they can still be hit by a BMP3. Bit of research yields big rewards.

Yeah even if your out of range of tanks, BMP-3's are still a major threat, flares don't work on them. I shot down an Apache that I barely saw high in the clouds with one.

I'm just trying to make a point here agree or disagree I could care less.

Attack Helo's being remotely afraid of tanks is not realistic in the slightest.

Tanks and APC's NEED to have wasd/joystick control and realistic ballistics (I'm not a big fan of disobeying the laws of physics). Tanks should not be anywhere near as effective at sniping infantry and Helo's with a mouse as they are in PR.

IRL tanks do not use a mouse to control the turret, they use a joystick. Also IRL choppers easily out range a tank and are able to take them out from a distance, something they can't do in PR unless the tank is lazed.

Attack Helo Pilots IRL only fly high when they have air superiority, otherwise they are just making themselves into a bulls eye for AA and Aircraft where being higher means an easier cleaner lock.

To the contrary during insurgency warfare where the primary threats are RPG's and small arms fire flying higher makes much more sense.

Because
  • There is not much terrain to hide behind, and the one that is there is more likely to block your view than the enemy's.
  • Almost any vehicle on the map can kill you in 1-2 sec
  • You have to fire from a moving platform while ground units can just stop and get perfect steady aim.
  • The units are spread out all over the map, so if you are hiding behind a hill, the area behind you that you can't see is never secure.
  • You are in a perfect altitude to be spotted at.
  • Enemy air assets are mostly looking for you, and they will find and kill you without you even knowing they were there.
  • The flares are less effective as they disappear into the ground in seconds, and will rarely work if you are fired upon from above.
  • AA missiles that miss you can kill you when they strike the ground.
  • You lose the element of speed for protection.
  • You have no where to go if discovered.
It goes on..

On Kashan, yes go high. Most opponents will not know you are in the clouds until a missile or 30mm rains from the sky. Once spotted it is suggested to move, as HATs or other material could be coming your way. Get in, make something go boom, get out.

Flying low will give armor more of a chance of getting a kill shot. They have a 360 view all around, and a huge zoom.
