Default Alt-Tab hotfix and server MD5 checks

Hey guys! I played a bit of PR the other day after I downloaded the 1.5 Alt-tabbing hotfix. Was flying solo in a Littlebird on Muttrah when I suddenly got PB-kicked when the server did an MD5 check and faulted the Rend file the hotfix had updated. I shuddered at the thought of the disaster had I been flying a full helicopter, so I've been holding off on playing PR while I wait for servers to update their PB.

Which begs the question; which servers have updated since the hotfix so that folks don't get PB kicked, if any?

You need to update, the alt+tab fix is client side.

Yuh but servers need to update their PB files as well as this is an official fix. If people are being kicked for MD5 checks on the fix it is because the server hasn't been updated.

Also if you notice he did actually say he had already updated...

Downloaded the hotfix last night. Played on a TG server for an hour today and it seemed to work fine. Switched over to a Chicago server and it MD5 Tooled me.... Hopefully they update

It's not that the servers need to not run MD5 checks, the issue is that PR Devs released a server side fix to add the MD5 sum of the official fix. If the server has not been updated it will still kick, servers like TG have updated and will not kick users who are using the official fix for MD5 checks because the MD5 sum is listed as valid.

@snoogums
