Personally I like them being called the Chechens.

It suits Russia more, and I dislike generic ones seeing as I like to have an idea of who I am fighting for for my war cry at the start of the round, "For Allah/Queen and Country/Mother Russia/Chechnya/Freedom, Democracy, and foreign oil supplies!"

Fools road was one of the first maps I played. I really enjoy the Chechen faction.

Why is it unrealistic if someone makes a map US vs Chechens ?

Seriously if someone says it is unrealistic that US troops fight against chechens, how can it be realistic that british forces attack so called militants all over the world?

I think the name is not important... All this war is pretty unrealistic so I think no mapper should look at the faction names when creating a map.

Go ahead and make Chechen vs Brit maps! ... I am very sure that if the map is good nobody will care about the opfor being chechen or militia.

Generally I think it is good that the Opfor gets "a face"/name.
Why should only the blufor represent real armies?

Keep them Chechens, afterall its realistically accurate. Have the brits fight the Taliban and call it a day. Dont make anymore "what if" scenarios like they already have with the chinese faction. keep it real.

The issue with the (in-game) Chechens being called Chechens is that while you may make a map with any given team vs. Chechens, the fact that they're called Chechens means they're limited to only Chechnya scenarios whereas if they were called Militia, you could put them in scenarios all over the world.

I think they must called as Chechens.No country care russian-Chechen Wars and pretend to blind.Chechens figth aggainst only russia and you want "realistic game" you must agree that.And dont forgot it USA,Brits or others dont be peacekeeper(and hero) anytime(İts only you can see it in movies).They only sent their soldiers for their benefit.Sorry for my bad english I hope you can understand me
