Why PR Will NEVER have a BMP on a Map with Water

I decided to test this on Combined Arms(Please don't argue about this, it's the SAME BMP-3 in PR, so you'd get the same results). The BMP-3 floats IRL, Floats in PR, but it does many other things in the water(Watch the video).



So, do you really want a BMP-3 on Muttrah?

and i tought our BMP3 was from special forces? and i tought it did float in that, so it can hopefully be fixed.

Yes it is from BF2 Special Forces, another thing that needs to be fixed is the Interior, it looks weird with doors on both sides of it.

go make a map, give the MEC/PLA nice things and if the map is good enough it'll get in to PR.









cuz generally afaik teh mapper gets to choose what goes on the map.

If you put the work in to fixing teh BMP for water, then it'll get on a water map.

Why is this a silly comment, in fact it isn't. Of course the mapper is deciding what gets on the map and what not and the DEV-Team is deciding what gets into the mod, and if the decision is that US/UK will get the good stuff and the others not there is a NWACHNT-Issue. (nice abbreviation btw ) It was and it is that the US/UK armies are getting all nice toys and the rest are left behind. E.g. no fast transport choppers for MEC/PLA, no scopes on the LMGs for MEC/PLA, crappy APC (gun overheats in two seconds and no protection for the gunner) for PLA on .86, none guideable HAT for PLA, no up-armoured transport vehicles with MG, like the Hummvee, for MEC/PLA etc... and don't tell me that those factions aren't capable of having such stuff IRL, thats simply not true. And don't say something like: "Go and make one", because that would make every critical comment on the mod obsolete.

But it is a game, I have fun with it, no matter which side I am on, even it is somehow western-hemisphere friendly , but none the less, from my POV UK/US are the favourites of the DEVs and thats their right, but so one should have the right to point it out.

The Western factions equipment is superior in real life and as such should be in the game also.

"no scopes on LMG's for MEC/PLA" - they get a 4x zoom which IMO is better (though only a place holder) because of the bigger field of view.

"crappy APC" - maps like qwai the PLA have a APC with a cannon and US have one with a 50.cal, so incorrect.

"none guideable HAT for PLA" - quicker set up time that other HATs

"no up-armored transport vehicles with MG like hummvee" - ummmm, what about the "crap" APC you just mentioned ? more armor than hummvee and more protection to gunner.

come on kawa, you should know better than this ! also (arguably) the PLA have the best rifle in the game ! much better than m4/m16 so come on guys....
