i am glad some1 likes it ^^. i am in love with it , that is the reason i play insurgent . but i love the scope more it needs more skill than any other guns . especialy shooting moving target needs to caculate the drop of bullet and speed of it( it is take maybe 1 sec to reach target at 300 meters ) and the speed of target too . i often shoot at 400 - 600 meters though yeah it is hard at first but now 1 shot 1 hit and it is right in the head ( humvee's gunners are my fav targets lol ) . and yes thanks the DEV for putting it in this game , love it .
............. what u need to know about it ? well its bullet drops at 180 meters , and if u hit some1's body at 300 meters it is no gonna do anything to him but wounded him so u need to shoot at the head that is the art of it i gess. the archer is the best map for it when we have distance and hiding places . my longest shot was 700 meters kill a sniper on the castle . and yes i am a lonely sniper , just give me THE enfield i ll be fine , i dont need spotters just need to be SL that would be it
hopefuly they put more rounds in it and i d love to see them in every insurgent map =>my dream

"The sniper is a very necessary person. He serves to remind us that we are war."
A .303 round at +2500 fps will remove a leg if it impacts the mid to lower thigh, thus resulting in death for most circumstances
No word of a lie ever since i downloaded this mod on January, i havent gone near the BF2 icon lol!

Pretty much loading in batches of 5. Dunno how possible that is though, but would be amazing, nay?
Just to bump the question, would this be do-able?

Nah I tried that before, BF2 can't handle loading in 'batches', only in singles or the entire magazine.

The lee-enfield is still in service. The Canadian Rangers (Artic Patrol) use them because under that much cold they are more reliable than modern weapons. For a weapon that old they are still quite good.

If I had the chance to own any weapon in WW2 it would be the Lee-enfield. Second would be the Thompson.

Could you make it so you 'unzoom' before operating the bolt? It is annoying having to wait for the animation to finish before you can move. You're already in a big disadvantage because you are using a bolt action rifle, and in the off chance that you will hit them, you only make them angry, and it doesn't matter if they don't have a medic with them because they can just grab your kit (in the case of the taliban medic kit).

Exiled.

How awesome is this weapon? Even the elevation knob and magazine have rails.

If you want one take your PAL course and you could buy a sporter to begin with for around 120$

Oh and I second the rangers still use them but government was suppose to send some C7s up there but looks like they never did.

EDIT: oh you mean in the wartime, sorry then

They did send them some C7's but the Artic Rangers soon dropped them for there old enfields as the C7's wern't as reliable in the artic weather. Due to how they are built and maintained. It's hard to keep a artic force modernized in the artic weather because almost everything will just quickly freeze up. Something the CF has learned and something other recently called 'artic nations' will realize if there even will be a war over the artic as Russia is claiming to be.

It's easy to assume that everything will work properly but there has never been a war in the artic or a need for military equipment other than submarines for research purposes. Canada has long been a artic nation and had citizens living there. The CF had setup some military bases on the artic and stationed a small military force there in which they recently upgraded. However those soldiers who are not use to having to live in those conditions found it extremly hard to live and operate in those conditions.

You had to boil water and poor it onto your vehicle if you wanted to get it started. Soldiers in the artic and there weapons just wern't meant to be.

Do others have a problem finding the center post on the sight?

I love it but at times I can't line up a shot past 50m as it's hard to find the center post.

High settings at 1400x900

It doesn't look like it. The only change is that now the sniper variant uses the hotted up 7.62x51mm NATO round that the other sniper rifles chambered in 7.62x51mm NATO use.
