Default Mumble distance limit needs to be changed.

Yesterday I was playing as the chinese on Operation Barracuda, and from the mountain in the middle of the map we could hear the US team on the carrier telling the heli pilot where they wanted to be dropped off.

The settings are all correct, maximum 70m minimum 1m and all of that stuff, just like in the mumble thread.

This isn't uncommon, the positional audio works as far as direction goes, but distance is never accurate.
Something has to be changed. Maybe go on and experiment with it, go 70 metres from a marker and just keep lowering the setting until peopel further away than that can't be heard or something, idk.
But at the moment mumble is useful when you're talking to other friendlies, but when enemies use it you just feel schizophrenic, hearing voices in your head but when you turn around nothing's there.

you need to set minimum volume to 0% otherwise you'll hear EVERYTHING but very very quiet

Please confirm you are using mumble .04 PR beta

Though I would actualyl be happy with the mumble distance being decreased to 40-50m since it cuts down on the sensory input a bit, and anyhting beyond 50m isn't gonna work teamwork wise anyway using push to talk.

[R-DEV]Rhino:"I in fact got kicked from a server for tking."
Hitperson:"well done, treasure it forever."
[R-DEV]Rudd:"if a pidgeon lands on the phone line I lose internet for 3 days"
[R-DEV]Chuc:"Pro man, pro."
(yes, it was about me)
[R-MOD]BloodBane611:"Romagnolo, you definitely deserve a LOL award for that."

Here is your problem. Minimum has to be 0% otherwise you will hear everyone quietly. I also recommend you to download the pr version.

Indeed it is, but if you set it up properly it's not an issue.

I did set it up properly, got all the links and settings from the mumble thread like a month ago or something, but apparently it's updated now and I downloaded the PR version instead.

And this thread is here because this is where I post things.
I don't think it's a coding problem as much as something that can be fixed by some intuitive settings tweaking. And if so, it applies solely to PR.
