It will all be much easier soon when the 0.5 beta is out (its ready we just need to set it up on the servers). Then you will not be able to use any other version of mumble than the PR one.

Please bear in mind as well though that if you start mumble up AFTER you are in game , then you will not link to the game and will not derive positional information. At the moment you will be an irritation to everyone in game as they will hear you everywhere on the map, however in a future version I am going to make it so that anyone not giving positional information will be automatically muted and deafened on the server.

This, my friend, is your problem. You MUST have it on 0% minimum volume otherwise, as other people in this thread have said you will hear everyone on the map.

Of course, I assume that you've got the PR version and hence everything is hardcoded/blanked out, preventing this little ordeal from happening again.

So are you guys saying that the 1.1.8 is not the version we should have but instead we should have the beta version?

I also hear people from far distances and in a very low voice. Im trying to get my clan on the boat with this and so far it has not proven very useful due to this being that their settings are the same as mine.

I think ur version doesn't have minimum volume or you haven't set it up right

set ur minimum volume to 0%

OR

just download teh PR beta .4 version and it has all those settings already done for you.

rgr that. yeah it doesnt, it only goes to 0.1, Thanks for all the help. Its been a bit of a pain in the ass. Also from waht i can tell there is no way to set a bind to talk to SL's as an SL. this is 1.1.8 im talking about.

thanks again. ill change it and report back if there are any issues
