Default BF2 EA UK Forum: Petition for making bf2.exe to be able to use more than 2GB of RAM

Hey.

I was tired of a post here and post there which became forgotten after a few days. Now I created a new thread at the EA UK with a petition for making bf2.exe to be able to use more than 2GB of RAM.

I know about the unoffical bf2.exe that we can download, but that may give you PB problems (MD5 and so on). If DICE can do a official fix for it, PB will not be a problem.

VOTE!!!
Allow BF2.exe to use more than 2GB of RAM! - Electronic Arts UK Community

it dose if you run it in high gfx and load 2 or 3 maps in a row without a restart.

Nice XP/Vista rant :-\

Either way, I hope they fix it, so we don't have to do things ourselves again..

I use the fix and never get problems with PB. I am starting to think my PC has destroyed PB and let a fake take over or something.

Maybe its one of the vista stability fixes in the patch already or did I miss something?

Are we talking about the C++ fix mentioned?

I get random CTDs after loading 2 or 3 maps, it's dead annoying!

I have 3 GB RAM, would be nice to use all of it!

Stu.
