Ah, It use to be good one shot 1337 all day long but now its crap.

takes 2 - 3 shots to kill them and you could just put one burst in there chest faster.

0.809 pistol = god.

0.85 pistol = useless.

Just shoot from the hip with burst you will make them piss there self's and kill them at the same time }:-
FYI INS have body armor or one 5.56 would kill / insta white & black them but then people would cry that the Coalition forces are too over powered and no one would play INS.

True dat, not a fan of the pistola these days, its still pretty cool if you pick up a blufor officer kit as insurgent and get to play around with the pistol for a bit, but ive snuck on people before with the pistol aimed squarely on the back of their heads, shot and nothing happens il shoot again and again and maybe get two or so hits but at the end of the day burst from assault rifle always wins out. Handguns in PR are imo useless beyond 2metres for whatever reason.

Have to disagree with you there big time. Maybe it's all about the skills?
As a SL, I always have the pistol ready in close quarters combat. Very effective, always faster to start shooting with it than with my scoped rifle.

I say, keep it, very useful.

Quoted for truth. There is no situation in game that a rifle is not better than a pistol in. Even with a scoped rifle simply putting unaimed 30 bullets in the direction of someone while dodging is preferable to trying to sight in with a pistol at close range.

Edit, except when the rifle is completely out of ammo. Reloading is also preferable to pistol wielding.

Perhaps the 5.56 round lacks the stopping power, I've read some articles about soldiers in Iraq shooting insurgents with unsatisfactory results due to the round just passing straight through them.

Pistol is a weapon of desperation/showing off, in my opinion.

Still quite deadly, but I think the rifle on tri/full auto is more dangerous.
