Current deviation? What do you mean by that?
It's difficult I guess to walk the fine line on making things act real or gameplay that feels real. For example I fealt that the helis being primarily used for drop offs and had some defensive firepower made for a much more realistic battle since they couldn't mow down everyone. However in real life a heli with a gun like that probably would mow everyone down. But in a game if you give people this, they abuse it, and the actual environment becomes unrealistic even though the vehicle itself is behaving realistic. I'm not sure if its possible to have both at the same time but I would always lean against the environment and situation feeling more real as that affects vast majority of players. |

atm the amount the bullets you fire 'deviate' from the center of the screen in response to movement isn't quite how they want it, its being changed significantly for the next patch.
the choppers are as good as they ever were, even better know we have the blackhawk reskin Gameplay still feels plenty 'real' |

I only started in early .75, But I've been hooked ever since!
The thing about pr is that you're not just satisfying your gaming hunger, you're savoring it. Every single second is suspenseful. In vBF 2, shots can be heard every second. In pr, you can go on for 20 minutes without fireing a single shot, and still feel more suspense than any other game. Firefights are longer, and demand on the spot tactics: getting a few squaddies to suppress the enemy while a few more flank. The maps are AMAZING! They are huge, and always suspenseful. There is the biggest variety of modes, from light vehicle layouts, to joint arms armour and jet layouts. Command and Control, while rarely played, is very interesting and provides the least linear of battles. All you need is a good squad and you'll understand what I mean. |

Yeah I used to find good squads all the time on tacticalgamer.com in the beginning but the games got out of hand at one point after a few updates perhaps in 0.6 I forget the timeframe.
Also I gave it one more stab after being away for 6 months or so and the civilian thing made me go back into my cave until now lol. Also one thing that bothered me is I hated the MEC's. I disliked their weapons a great deal at the time. It fealt like one team has a weapon disadvantage to begin with. And since I enjoy tactical ground combat, I fealt like whenever we got switched to MEC I wanted to quit. I am more of a sneak around, use the scope kind of guy. If I recall no MEC's had decent scoped weapons when I was playing. I really loved the mod at the time its just updates ruined what was all GOOD about the mod IMO and too many things like the MEC weapons bothered me. Just my point of view but each side shouldn't have such a different style of gameplay because it seperates what the user may enjoy. I think their situation / goals should change that is fine. However I find players are partial to being snipers or various other types of players and if a side eliminates that type entirely, your discouraging a bunch of players. I think the change should be in the situation somehow not the equipment. Having such limited kits is already a pain in the butt IMO. I understand the methedology around the kits limitation though but its frustrating. I would barely ever get a sniper rifle. If PR had a central XP server or something I would almost like that better. I could progress as a sniper and be able to get my skills weapons more often than a machine gun etc. In real life I don't think getting your skillset weapon is a problem. If your a sniper you don't have difficulty getting one lol. |

MEC got G3 with optics in 0.6 and now they got a GL and DMR variant with optics as well.
