If you want it, do it and I will add it once I get the army set up. I think the different armour would show it being older but would prefer it being a copy of the MEC cammo to show they are the same faction.

AFAIK the BTR-90 is only a russian APC ATM, and for the forseeable future. The BMP3 on the other hand is exported en-mass.

Sources:
BTR-90 - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Only used by russia
BMP-3 - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Exported to UAE, nearly 600.

Scout car, not tank. And reread the other post. It is being used.

Back in 0.5 the Insurgents had T-62's, thanks to a renegade Iraqi Army armoured battalion as well as BRDM-2s

The key to modernising any weapon is covering them in glue and tossing them in a barrel of M1913 rails until they look "Modern" enough.

maybee use the vannilla skins for the mec reserves? the skins look scabbier than the desert ones and as they will be in built up areas it wont matter so much.

im tryiung to learn to map athe moment so ill help out with some stuff once iget more competent maybee a map with a huge Millitary base that the reserves have to defend whilst the best forces are off fighting

Yeah Jonny I know what I'm talking about, but anyways could that be a possibility if this sub-faction becomes plausible?

You said BRDM2, not T-anything.

But perhaps a few T62s may work out, although only after the round has been going for a while and in VERY LIMITED numbers.

I want them really specialised for being defensive, with very few offensive vehicles. They should be terrified of tanks.

Because of this most flags on their maps will start out as MEC.

prehaps you can have it where like the BLUFOR has jets and armour at the beggining of s round and the mec reserves has just their bmp-3s and crappy tanks then after 20mins or so air support becomes avalible as the MEC airforce is called in, then like 40mins later T-90s arrive, it be like counter attck mode only the idea is that the poorly eqipped resserves have to defend until reinforcements arrive. Prehaps have the jets come in 10mins representing the migs being scampled to intercept BLUFOR aircraft

Thanks to the A10 they didn't live long, and did not respawn either.

Wouldn't T-72s be more appropriate? They're old but not that old.

USi has them.

Syria has 1000 '62s and 1600 '72s, either would do.

Dont go asking for things until someone manages to set up a new faction to add it to though.
