I prefer the 16 and 32 modes. 64 can be good if both teams have commanders and the jets can be coordinated to hit targets. But I despise the jets most of the time because you can get almost an entire squad just sitting there waiting for them and nothing else.

my personal opion of the map is not favorable. that is not to say that the mappers did not do a good job on it, just a personal preferance. i always compair it to bohemian rhapsody by queen. once waynes world came out it was the most overplayed song i have ever encounted. much the same with pr, once this map is up, once every one is waiting at the main bases for all the really cool toys, and the tking for them is over one team has a hugh advatage over the other. by this time you have 4 hours to wait until you may get a decent game out of it, or you can just join another server and look for a more player friendly map.
now guys this is my own opion, and it is not ment to insult the dev's or map makers in any way. just my take on it. |

I always seem to look for the kashan map on the server browser preferably the 32 size A-Choppers own! And when my mate Alex6714 and me are in the air the round wont take that long :P. If the teams works a bit with the air units it can go quite fast.

Here is my opinion on kashan:
The 32 and 64 versions of the map should have plenty of assets on low respawn. Reason? 20 min respawn for tanks and a little scout chopper is fin on qwai. Its a small map, focused mainly on infantry. Kashan is a big, very open map. Infantry don´t like kashan, so in my opinion it should be a tank/air map and have lower respawns on vehicles and more of them. Make it a vehicle map, make the bunkers accessable and this will map the map 10x more fun and help to stop the waiting/TKing for assets. And you still have the 16 player version left, for those who want to play infantry on it. |

I haven't played PR for a while but the reason I probably left if Kashan was the next map was because the rounds are too long and I like playing until the very end and see the outcome of the round.

Personally I hate it. I'm an infantry guy. Good transport guys are far and few between. Cover is about as abundant as ak-47's at a pacafist convention. It's a boring map to run across.

I dont hate the map, but depending on how my team does the 1st 10 min or so decideds if I'll stay or leave. Its a good map when you have the right teams facing eachother. If you dont have good teams its just gonna be really long, drawn out round that can get boring.

=TCC= actually had one of their servers running this map 24/7. Until yesterday I would see more gamers on it than the other PR server which has map rotation. However I’m one of those that would probably drop because I don’t care for the map. To me it’s too far to walk, too hard to get a good ride and too open. Yes I know it is a desert environment. City maps are OK but I prefer lots of foliage to sneak around in. I think all maps have their following.

Its a dull map to look at. Its a horrid map to drive tanks on. The vast majority of it is very boring when playing infantry.
32 & 64 are eeeh. Typically rounds play out as one side losing all its heavy assets followed by a complete rape as tanks run rampant for 20 minutes almost unopposed. 16 is quite fun, with heliborne insertions, .50 cals blasting away to give support, infantry storming bunkers or enguaging at fire fights at extreme range. Then its a fun map. When I'm trying to convince my T90 to go up the gentle slope rather than off to the left as it seems to want to while the USAF strafes me, its not. That said, I'd quite like to see a version of Kashan focusing on infantry operations supported by a CAS jet or 2 on the other team, imo that could be rather interesting. As a DEV I don't recall the name of said, its the extreme of PR. When you've got a good squad, in a good team on a good server with good admins and your opponents are a fairly even match its awesome. Any other time and its rubbish. |

The key to modernising any weapon is covering them in glue and tossing them in a barrel of M1913 rails until they look "Modern" enough.
