Worked for me. I wondered why I didn't have the new effect after my first install.

Ofcourse it is possible. I did it many times just by pure luck that the first shot deviated to my enemies head. And ofcourse that only admins whos got means of actually detecting it should decide.

but on the side note there is difference between one shot at you turning around and headshot someone and hail of bullets landing near you, you calmly turn and headshot.

the problem with the screenshots is.. you have to find screens where the player is already suppressed

I didn't mean shoot 1 bullet at you, but continuously shooting bullets at you. This should trigger the suppression effect (aslong as the bullets land close) and prevent you from even seeing where I'm shooting from. Yet still many people manage to magically shoot me within one or two seconds from a long range, in a situation where they should be pretty much fully suppressed and they didn't even know where I was before I started shooting.

The suppression effect, when triggered, should make it pretty much impossible to return accurate fire over medium to long ranges.

exactly, it's going to be hard to find someone with it off through the pb screenshot, you can't be exactly sure when rounds are landing near them.

And the second problem would be. Whats with the guys who dont even know the are "cheating". Those guys who start the game on the same way like thousand times before so the dont even know are using a now bug? Because not every PR Player will see this thread.

Any way this would be a Witch-hunt.

So the only workable solution would be to disable this effect up to the bug is gone.

No way to do this by an accident.

Launching by the old shortcut doesn't work and anyone willingly using the other way without knowing about he's cheating gotta be stupid. It takes more than twice as long this way.

And no, I don't want to see the shaders gone.

Even if there were a way to, "do it by accident".
By now everyone that plays PR is aware of the fact that they should be having a Suppression Effect (SE) triggered when someone is landing shots very near them in game. If they are playing and they are NOT getting the SE then they should log out of the game and see if they can figure out what is wrong.
If a player is playing and they suddenly realize that they are not having the effect triggered, but then continue to play. They are in fact cheating, and at that moment they are aware that they are cheating. Either way they should be dealt with swiftly and sternly.

This is what should be expected from a "real" M-16, when fired by an "expert" shooter! This applies to "expert" only. However, someone that can only qualify basic "marksman" by hitting 23 out of 40 targets will NOT shoot this well! Period!!!

As for looking through screenies - yeah, it's not easy.

1) Find a shot which shows rounds landing around a player that should probably be supressing them.
2) Search for more screenies of that player (or tell the server to take them next time they're on) and check if they ever seem to get the shader.
3) If needed, catch them online and shoot at their feet with a friendly whilst taking screenshots via PB.
4) If still not showing signs of supression, it's probably something dodgy.

So no, not easy. Very hard, in fact. But still doable and still worth doing. Only takes a few guys to get caught out before other people might wise up to the fact they're cheating too.
