If anyone is being kicked because of a mismatch on levelname/client.zip rather than shaders_client.zip it is probably due to your use of my customized topographical maps (see sig for link). I am PMing Jaymz (who is doing the MD5 change?) and hope to hear a response from the devs soon.

Hmm, am I the only one not able to run the shortcut?

I get an error in Windows Vista, 32bit - which says
"You must run this executable as an administrator due to a bug in Windows - see Security Update MS00-024 Breaks SHGetFolderPath in Shfolder.dll - access is denied.

Yes, i am running in compatibility and Administrator mode. Nothing works? That link directs to an Internet explorer 6 update..?

Edit -

Running off F:\BF2\ dir, shortcut looks like this..

F:\BF2\pr.exe +modPath mods/pr +menu 1 +fullscreen 1 +restart

Had to move the pr.exe into the BF2 folder as it was saying BF2.exe not found.

There is no problem in adding a second check for the file you modified to include those customized topographical maps.

Sent me a link to the file and it's changes to the stock once (what you have added and all other people will add - would be better to offer a download for that file - unzipping, zipping causes sometimes slight differences if done by different people and on different ways).
We can add a second valid check for each client.zip - so no one gets kicked - neither the ones using the standard maps, nor the ones using the topographical maps.

btw - those topographical maps look far better then the original ones - especially for pr.

Nope - highly frustrating.

1) - Running in admin mode, compatibility mode
2) - Edited shortcut to the above to see if i can make it work - nope.

Doubt a fresh install will work, as it seems vista wont let me run that shortcut for some reason. Even with UAC off etc.

Also, this thread http://www.realitymod.com/forum/f27-...der-vista.html
is exactly whats happening to me, and the only way for me to fire up PR is through BF2.exe etc - which is how the poster solved their problem. But the new shader check means, that doesnt work.

Help?
