Well, that's sad but it doesn't justify your unfair advantage over the other players with shaders enabled.

Besides, there surely is a way to move the shaders manually. I'll take a look into it.

So i assume the checks are correct and i don't need to check out the patch?
Can someone confirm having patched to 0.756 (no fullinstall) that he has aswell no problems if he uses correct shaders?

Why, could you be more precise? I know several mates who use the complete collection and have no issues.

great, then i do not have to checkout the patch-md5 myself.

Those checks are valid for patched and full 0.756 installations.

Jagular - would you mind to create post in Private Serveradmin-Section how to enable those checks for all other pr-serveradmins who perhaps don't know how to? Or perhaps Drygar?

My time is unfortunatly rare till weekend.

Any server admin capable of making these changes should let the others know how it's done. It's great to see how just by posting about this we have several community members stepping up and helping us sort it out

I am not sure why it happens but it has somthing to do with the EA download manager doing things differently atleast when it comes to Bf2 complete collection. There are tons of threads dealing with this issue in the help section and if people read them you can see that this issue shouldnt be treated as a "cheat"

Look at my situation ok, I bought Bf2 Complete collection on EA download manager ONLY for project reality. I saw you tube footage of the game and said, I am going to buy battlefield 2 to play that. After spending literally 2 full days crawling old message boards and help forums trying to fix it so I can enter the game normally, I realized it isnt possible and there is no fix for this.

So my concern is this, you got a growing mod now, growing community , and a mod which is causing a bug by default ( for some ) which is causing Server admins to kick/ban/burn at the stake and a whole thread up in arms about fair play when the issue is not about cheating as I see it.

How many people are going to be trying this game for the first time only to be met with the original difficulty of getting into the game with broken short cuts, and when he does figure out a way to play be banned from all servers and potentially not even get to enjoy this mod.

In my opinion, the better solution would be to just disable the effect until the devs can work it out.

Don't punish honest people who are simply trying to play the mod, cause I can almost gaurentee most of the ones you kick/ban are people like me who really do want fair play and just want to play the mod, and this is our only way, and most wont even know why they are getting kicked

Just wanted to add that I am not arguing whether this is fair or not, its clearly not. But try to put yourselves in the shoes of a new player experiencing this bug.

Oh and Arn , Did you mates buy Bf2 complete collection on EA download manager? The only evidence I have of this is it is the sole thing everyone with the issue seemed to have in common on the help threads. I am open to all suggestions
