Canada seems to do a mix, I'm not sure which is "correct".

The honest to god reality is: Our founding fathers sat down in a room together and created a list of things we can do slightly different from the rest of the world and then call the rest of the world backwards for doing it that way.
So yes, you're wrong. Please don't become inflamed by my post and start a flame war. We have MODs to keep these forums inflammable. |

No one would actually say 'of' but you would write it like that. what day is it? what month is it? what year is it? is more logical than what month is it? what day is it? what year is it?
I can see why japanese style could make sense in japanese, but it doesn't translate well. |

I can see the Japanese style and the Brit style because they both go from 1 end of the specific scale to the other, where as the Us goes from middle specific to most specific to least specific.

Its because Americans didnt fit it to a lame standard of just going by some lame method like specificity. They worked it to the most beneficial and practical method evar. Month Date Year. Pure Genius.

Wow flawed logic why would it be better to go from more specific to most specific to least specific.
When you have dd/mm/yy it goes from smallest unint to biggest unit so it's uniform and easy to understand. Maybe you should just lock this Okita because it's going to turn into people defending their respective formats. |
