The Marines are not replacing their M203s with the M32. They're evaluating a new rifle squad organization, and there may be one M32 per squad; the fire-teams still have M203s.

I was under the impression that it was being fielded as a replacement, seeing that it lands more highly effective rounds on target, and the 203 is 30+ years old.

It is still in the evaluation phase, but having been there, done that, I'd take it over the 203 any day.

Will the M-32 soldiers get a regular rifle? I don't think so, because they would have to carry a sh**tload of ammo to be useful. 'Cause I don't think 40mm on full auto is that good an idea. Maybe if you want to put down a REALLY large smokescreen or you're fighting a mob. But normally, I suppose a single, well placed grenade would be more effective. So with the M-32, you postpone the reloading to every six shots, but cannot shoot regular rifle rounds.

Not good IMHO.

It's just wishful thinking on my part. :P The game mechanics as is are great. I just like seeing the Marines have the latest and greatest, having friends and family and having been one!

marines dont just throw stuff away, most of the marines equipment is +30 years olds and will be used until you can't tell what it is.
