Harrier questions(about GR9 and GR7)

The thread I posted above (which I found, by what else than SEARCHING)contains mentions of Muttrah v2 by Rhino. The following quote by Rhino from the thread above resonding to a post asking about what happened to Muttrah v2 not being released in 0.7

As for the Harrier, go download the new Kashan Training map and see for yourself. It's so unfinished and difficult to fly, I cannot imagine that anyone could even fly it long enough for infantry to designate a target. In fact, it doesn't even have an engine sound!

uhhhhhhhhhhhh..................ok..........i cant play any BF2 mods right now(computer problems) and my BF2 software is stuck on my computer, so when i try 2 reinstall it, the puzzle peices dont match, and its all f'ed up

but as soon as this is straightened out, ill go try it

one question:
why do the Marines(airforce) have the GR9??? they have the AV-8B, the British have the GRs, we have the AV-8s.

but aside from that.... did you test the weapons systems?(with bots)
are the brimstones pilot guided?

Ah man.. come on. A quick Google of the GR9 would result in learning that the RAF (British Royal Air Force) use the GR9 which means the UK Team in PR is going to be using it, not the Marines/Army/AirForce.

This is like the best and most civil internet argument ever. I'm actually taking off my asbestos suit now. Wow.

But seriously neutron man, why do you ask so many questions? Can't you just let things flow? See what the devs create for you come 0.8, and be ecstatic for it.

In the meantime just let them get on with their work and let the forum-goers go back to posting humorous but by now cliche pictures of loller-cats.

I'm tempted to just start locking these threads of your's on sight, or at least discuss that possibility with the other mods. It's like you're OCD about these aircraft suggestions/questions. Just give it a rest dude.

Thank you, althought, no lies, i am OCD..... Ever wonder why I make no grammatical mistakes in my posts... and if I do I edit it, like now. But I love the Harrier and I need to know as about it as I can so that i will know what will be there, also if i dont have all the info, i get mislead by videos and people that have exagerated or lied about something.IE: the F-16 with the LGB video(youtube it) and i think its goin to be sooooooooo awesome, and its not as awesome as i thought..... I(an OCD person) like for everything to be in order, as a pilot, that means knowing all about the aircraft of the next mod/version. So, although you laugh at me....i feel the desire, the NEED to ask these, because if i ask anywhere else, they have no idea... if i ask ingame(cant right now but normally) they will feed me straight 100% BS, wheather they want to or not. So sorry if you wanted to make a case against me for being annoying, but i didnt mean to be, to me, if these questions remain in this noodle, ill go basically insane and i start to ask people in other games if they know about this game and blah blah blah... sorry and thanks

The RAF (and now also Royal Navy) GR7/GR9 and the USMC AV-8B share a common airframe, the MD-Boeing/BAE Harrier II, they just have different designations and capabilities.

We are using the base Harrier II airframe to make models for both US (AV-8B Harrier II-Plus) and UK versions (GR9, which is an avionics upgrade to the GR7; they are almost indistinguishable). They will look noticeably different, beyond just the skins, and will hopefully perform the same way in-game.

-will the Brimstones be pilot guided?
-and(old harrier) did the old harriers LGBs actually track, or did they just fall(dumb bombs dressed up as LGBs)

as i said im OCD, but i just have to have everything go together.....and the old Harriers color goes nicley with the USs old camo...the new Harriers colors...........go nicley also(just not as original or patriotic as the orig.)
