They are not so broken that you literally can't kill anybody, however sometimes at ranges below 600m (and they are supposed to be perfectly accurate until then?) you will line up a shot properly, only to see your bullet land 10 meters away from them. In fact I love the M14 so much, I've tried again and again to use the kit anyway. On several maps I found myself actually having to aim below my target, at the ground as it were, in order to hit their small prone profile on the cliffside.

as far as being polite ingame...yeah, i'd like to see more of that. i try to make sure to give plenty of positive feedback to good commanders after a round, but even i sometimes forget and log off without saying a word. never take that stuff personally.

Sniper kits should always be left to sniper specific squads... so 2 sniper squads maximum, 1 spotter 1 shooter... also because you need 1 person in the squad to get the kit, and only 1 person per squad of /6 can get the kit "becauses of squad limitations"...
snipers in close quarter infantry squads who do not use voip are annoying, however... a real sniper squad with spotter + shooter is very fun indeed if you know what you're doing, otherwise, you will just end up giving the enemy the sniper kit *raises fist to all who do it*... not only is it fun, its very helpful to the team, especially if the spotter is spotting armour etc for the rest of team and communicating with commander |

I usually type 'gg' in global chat, when there's about 10 tickets left or when I know that my/enemy team is going downhill and the round will be over in a few minutes.

Well, the problem is that ticket count is no more shown in normal screen. You have to look in squad screen.
This way I just miss the end of the round. That's why I try to at least thanks to squad mates, because VOIP still works till new map starts loading. And greetings to squad at the start is a must (good way to find a good squad - no answer, time to look elsewhere). |

I agree that it's good when people say thanks/good game etc. But so long as it doesn't get too loved up.
Can you imagine this: >Good game guys, thanks for the good squad play. >Yeah great game, I love you squad leader >I love you too, in fact I love all you squad members. >It's game over now, better finish the conversation >You still there? >Yes >You take your finger off button b first >ok, bye >You still there? >yes >Ok, I'll go now, I'll miss this great squad, bye >bye >You still there? >yes YOU HAVE BEEN DISCONNECTED BY PUNKBUSTER FOR SHOWING TOO MUCH LOVE |

heh heh heh! That is one of the funniest things ever posted in this forum Manners? Yeah - I'll say hi usually, and in person over chat to any names that I particularly recognise if they're not on VOIP/TS and if I haven't seen them in a while. In VOIP I'll always say hi to anyone I don't recognise joining my squads, and I'll generally say thanks and bye to anyone who lets us know if they're leaving. At the start of the round I'll often say good luck & good hunting either over VOIP or game chat. Usually say good game all or similar at about 10 tickets left if I realise (0.7 has made that harder), and thank my squad for following orders etc.
