I really don't see many 24/7 Al basrah servers anymore. I wonder why?

those tank convoys from 0.5 with comander support back then... MMMM awesome memories!!!

singleplayer has got the 0.5 version it it

sad thing is that 0.6 isn't running in sp yet...
judging from the layout its way better than 0.5

0.5 Basrah was gamey, and you could only win as USMC, if smacktards moved to the other team or admins kicked them/team switched them back to their proper team...
Ive seen like 3 people on Ins team wasting all the spawn cars, so Insurgents could barely defend the flags, but usually tards TKd for A10 and soloed the Cobra along with tanks, which got blown up by RPGs or jihaded.

AL B 0.5 was cool mainly due to the 2 A10s, 2 AH1Zs, 2 UH60s, 2 LAV25s, 2 M1A1s and the M95. the Insurge had Spawn cars (random Spawn RP that work like Chaces would be better), SA7 and Bridges to IED.

the thing is it is realistic for insurgants to attack VCPs, outposts etc they do it all the time but we have not yet found a perfect solution to the problem as of yet. all in good time I'm sure we will have something

I know it's not unrealistic... but it makes the map pretty much eye candy except for a 200m bubble around VCP. Saying that, I have had a couple of freak rounds where there has been a lot of fighting in the city ect and they have been a blast.

What about making VCP more fortified?

well i dont think putting giant dunes of sand and dirt infront of an entrance is very realistic.. and putting the barbed wire infornt of the entrances so only vehicals can go through.. but anywas i think if we had .5 map but .6 stuff then it would be all good. and i remember all the times shooting down a black hawk with an RPGs. ahhh good times.
