Project Reality Tournament

As we're always interested in our fans opinion, here is the next idea which may or may not tempt you. Would you like to see a Project Reality tournament? A tournament in this case is meant in the same fashion 21CW or Tour of Duty are built.

Very interested, though I think the mod is a release or two away from being ready for such a thing

I agree with you on this point. If we were to begin work on this tournament soon, the expected start date would just about be then (given our goal of creating a user-friendly yet powerful web-interface).

i think this would be a great idea

simply put PR is the most realistic form of BF2, and Tournament Style play is the most realistic way to play Battlefield

after playing in tournaments since shortly after getting BF42 i can say it is by far the best way to play battlefield i now rarely pub because once youve expirienced tournament style play nothing else comes close

i would love for this to happen and if it should i would love to render any help i can, with my numerous campaigns and expirience in this area

i said it could be interesting cause im not much for tournaments but i like to see PR getting to the point where it is used for tourneys

Sounds like a good idea then, let me know if you need server support as we (GD) might be able to assist with one (maybe more?). Also if you are looking for webdesigners/coders for the page I know we have a few with talent, I can't speak for them but I could pass the word around if you are in need.

Also I know you're very busy but could you try to get me a reply on the last email I sent you, I was hoping to get some of the pieces in place by the weekend if possible.

very good idea! as Beckwith said pr is the most realistic form of bf2, and a tournament is the most realistic way of playing bf2. i'd like to help in any way i can if possible because i definetely love this idea....

Yes I would under one condition...

As long as it is nothing what so ever like 21CW... in no offense to the owners and it's members but there are a lot of things wrong with that tourney...

If you want to see how a tourney should be run check out ForgottenHonor. That is one of the most kickass tourneys to this date.

In perticular check out how they run the campaigns... it's baised on actuall battles with chapters and such just read some of the news post to get the main jist of it. They make all their custom maps for the tourney to fit to the real life battles.

This would kickass with this mod and it would fit the realism perfectly. With an awesome Iraq Campaign in the same fasion... rather than just doing the usual ordinary trivial through people on some rushed custom maps and everything...

Do it like that and I'd say the tourney would have great potential.
