Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ), read first
After having a lot of stickies made the forum hard to navigate and made it hard for new stickies to be noticed, we will now have this FAQ thread to answer common questions and link to important threads that aren't stickied.
Every one of you is invited to send me some questions that you think should be answered in here!
Q: Where can I get BF2 in this day and age?
A: Steam does no longer sell it. Retail stores rarely have it in stock. Amazon still has it, however.
Q: Where can I get an overview on what Project Reality is?
A: This page should have all the answers you need!
Q: I have a problem getting Project Reality to run, what should I do?
A: Please check the Support Forum. Read the sticky threads, use the forum search, and if nothing comes up, post your own thread. We're happy to help you!
Q: I have heard of Project Reality 2, or PR2. Where can I find information about it?
A: Please read this FAQ on Project Reality 2. An inofficial thread with responses from the PR2 Devs to a lot of questions can be found here. The official announcement for PR2 can be found here.
Q: I have heard about 128 player servers being featured in Project Reality, what can we expect for future PR versions?
A: The new player limit for PR:BF2 as of 1.0 is 100. This is probably not going to change.
Q: When is the next version of Project Reality set to release?
A: Read this. If a new release date is announced, you will know.
Q: What is this mumble thing? How does it work? Which IP do I connect to?
A: As of PR 1.0, mumble is now fully integrated. You don't need to do anything.
Q: I have heard about a PR online magazine called Reality Contact. Where can I find the editions?
A: Right here!
