Playing as Germans was at times like being at home doing your homework when you can hear the kids playing in the street. Landings around you but you have to stick on your sector. Eventually they did attack West Beach which my platoon had. Most of my battle was standing in a bunker with binos out spotting mortars, sending my other fireteam to reinforce the temporary break they seemed to have made on the Fox beach bunker.
Was crazy intense at times. Seeing that many boats land at once was really exciting. I think Germans won because defenders have a massive advantage if they're in any way organized and have competent mortars. The reason Americans can win in pubs is because a cohesive and reactive defense is not something you expect from pubbie teams. Here I think that the Americans planned far more in depth than we the Germans did and yet our plan was able to win the day because we had big cliffs and pill boxes. I'll be curious to see if this event has any bearing on the future balancing of this map. |

Agree pfunk, it's like playing insurgency on pubs vs tournament an organised insurgent team is really hard to win against. While on pubs it could be pretty even.

That was one of the most epic PR games I've ever played.
Also glad that my mod team could help by donating content. |
