    3D Scopes

Not knowing what the exact engine limitations are, I'm thinking of a possible fix...
Instead of having the portion of the view outside of the scope not magnified (since apparently that's not possible) or blurry, how about just shading it dark?

I think it's al-right, just the inside of the scope should really be cut down alot. I use the SA80's SUSAT in the UOTC and you really do not have that. But apart from that I'll live

@ iAllex Killing floor and Red Orchestra ( seeing as they are based on the same engine) have the rest of the screen normal as the scope zooms in... and these are relatively old games. (Killing floor is a mod for Red Orchestra that has been made into a retail game)

I like it. Tbh, is it really that big a deal if the rest of the screen zooms with the scope? Surely that's worth the '3D' appearance over the black screen we have to put up with? Can't wait to use this ingame, great work Chuc

Actually there isn't any fps game(that I know) that can have a part of the screen zoomed and the rest not. It's all "smoke and mirrors" . If you look carefully you will notice that( game example: America's Army 3, ArmA 2, COD: Modern Warfare 1 and 2 , etc.).
So let's hope Chuc can trick us .

    BF2 engine limit or whatever.

Arma 2 has the same problem, and there some modders are using this "workaround" with the zoom, but with blurred outside the scope.

I think that once you zoom in only the part where the scope is should zoom in and the rest of the surrounding area shouldnt.

    Every thing else seems amazing!

    Good idea

I guess that blackness arround the edges is added on the original image. If it is possible try adding a blurry image from the scope to the edges of the screen ... maybe it will make the entire screen zoom less noticeable .... Best of luck chuc!

This opens up a lot of possibilities for increasing visual counters to accuracy so deviation can be released.

Also it's more amazing work from Chuc.
