    Scott Tobin - Project Reality OST 0.9 "Theme" & "Home"

    It´s so cool that PR has it´s own musik (probably a thing with legal rights) bust still the effort is amasing. And the result alike.

    Only I dont think that piano play fits that well for PR. But that´s just imo.

    Has to be one of the most realistic maps in PR.
    I played the new version twice now. 1 round as US and 1 round as Taliban.
    Taliban is ..let's put it that way.. easy: it doesn't really matter if you get shot or not unless you have a special kit you wish to keep.
    Even getting out of your Outpost as the US can be a pain. Last night we had 2 enemy squads sitting on the hills north of outpost on the ridge lines ( which are btw partly covered with grass/trees and bushes --> makes it even harder to spot the enemy )
    It took us around half an hour - 1 hour to get rid of them + their hideouts.
    time we could have spend looking for caches.
    My point is that the location of the main base is still really bad.
    I do not see the point of having an operations base that can be engaged that easily. do not get me wrong the new us main base location is still way better than the old one (ref. to camp murphy).
    What I would like see is a Permanent U.S. spawnpoint on the highest position of an area, for example the previous capture point lanyal -> would be at least defendable.
    But as I said it's probably the most realistic map and I saw BlueFor winning once on korengal.

    Its very tight and hard for the US side, especially when cashes spawn inside the caves its extremely hard to find it or get to it if the cave is defended. I like the new US base, but Taliban still manages to get on the high ground and spawn camp it

    I had a bad experience as Blufor last night. A cache spawned just left of the main base and up in the mountains, so we got rained on by everything imaginable whenever we tried to get out the front door. My squad tried exiting through the back but the second we jumped over we were eviscerated by taliban troops lying in wait. It was a very frustrating round ending in a loss. Although I liked the look of the new base.

    I have only played this once and I had a bad experience as BLUFOR. I would admit that the taliban side were very organised and it was very hard to get across the river without one person dying if not the entire squad. Like Celestial said you can find yourself in a sticky situation wherby you have more than 6 people swarming around you with better CQB weapons than your own; which makes this map hard when you want to search and destroy enemy caches. From my experience yesterday our main base was open to weapons fire everytime someone stood out, as it is very easy to get sniped from such a high position; even if you think you are in cover.

    It is a great map, however I don't see myself playing on BLUFOR again as walking down steep hills just to get wiped out isn't appealing to me when the advantage is clearly on the taliban side who can just rape the crap out of the main base as well as spot any movement coming across the river to counter-attack.

    I think the map is improved. I played many times on the older version and now just twice on the new version. I greatly enjoyed the new location of the US base. I think its location makes the map work much better for the US. It also feels more authentic - if that matters. I have not played as Taliban yet.

    In my first go with the new map I spawned into a headless squad so I 'defended' the US base with a SAW. After about 15 minutes I had 17 Taliban down and so I switched to an active squad. We started moving together on a cache location and got overrun and wiped out twice. Then we convoyed out of the US base with a humvee and a truck and made it safely to a compound on the far West side of the map near the river. We started getting our assets built up and then we were under attack by Taliban with frag grenades... then I crashed to desktop and had a cry. It was one of the better rounds I had had on Korengal.

    In the previous version I felt that too often the US was fighting just to get out of the base. I think the more central location of the US base makes the gameplay more dynamic. Creating and keeping FOBs is still very difficult on this map. When the Taliban hear a truck they swarm to it likes flies on crap. Placing an FOB that lasts requires some sort of David Copperfield stunt.

    I played the other night and while under heavy fire on the base I was able to get out 5 times while the other two squads kept getting wasted or tracking contacts. There are ways out of the base besides the front door
