Some no-nonsense art and gunplay-related updates for 1.0.

Going from top to bottom, we have a new surprise for the USMC in the form of a new DMR replacing the aging M21 SWS platform. Keep in mind that the screenshot was deliberately taken at that angle to cover up one detail.. but those on the ball can already guess what it is on the end of that rifle.
Next we're happy to announce that the BUIS system is now fully implemented into our alpha builds, and works seamlessly into current gunplay.
3rd is a cosmetic addition, where those nasty first person opaque scopes have been hollowed out and with some creative visual acrobatics I've devised a better looking first person optic. Note that this doesn't affect how the 3D scope system looks (when you sight in).
Finally is progress on the FN MAG family of weapons. As you can see we're piecing together the bits lovingly one by one ready for animation and alpha implementation.
One more item that isn't in the screenshot montage is changes to the recoil and deviation system. We're hard at work modifying the recoil system to get a more visceral and satisfying experience slogging rounds down-range, with hopefully a greater emphasis on nailing that difference between smaller and higher caliber rounds and weapon types. Deviation also looks set to be tightened up considerably, but more updates on that down the track.
All this is just a small snippet of what we have in store for 1.0, so keep your pants zipped, your rifles up and yourself switched on for the next round.

Wait, what? I did 2 deployments on the USS Bataan as apart of the ACE of the 22nd MEU and the infantry did not have mk12s, they had M110s with suppressors in a coyote brown paint scheme. The link talks about the rifle being utilized by scout snipers, but the Marines that had it were not scout snipers, just designated marksmen for their platoons.Quote:
