[R-DEV]Spush has just finished work on the new player textures for the Argentinian faction for PR:Falklands

They have been made from the MEC player models and the US Vietnam kit geometries which all put together, with the new textures make some very nice Argentinian player models

I honestly don't think these look so good , and I don't think they're up to current PR standards. These are MY opinions and you can disagree with me as much as you want.

Worst bits right now are the kit geoms, that have quite a few smoothing issues and are in some places quite low detail, but mainly the smoothing groups is there biggest issue. Since we are using the US Vietnam kit geoms which we don't have the export scenes for there isn't much we can do about that, without making new kit geoms from scratch which hopefully in time, we will be able to do but quite a big project and something to do further on down the line and as such, to get this out asap we need to work with what we've got, and these are the best fitting we have

The player textures themselves also need a little bit of tweaking, a little more dirt and yellowness but overall are pretty good on the whole for BF2

Okay, I understand now Thanks for clearing that up!

You see, you guys have released so much good quality material in PR, that I'm starting to get picky

Interesting, got a source on that?

Don't see it working ingame thou, Marksman is a very popular choice from what I saw in the testing we did a few months back due to the lack of scopes, and making it a scopeless kit would make it pretty much useless.

The M14 is just a place-holder thou. What I'm planning for the Argentinians Marksman rifle is an FM FAL with scope (although as of yet, not sure excatly what scope it is, anyone know?) which I've seen in quite a few pictures of Argentinian forces in the Falklands:

M14 felt the best place-holder since some Argentinian snipers used M14, although with a powerful night version scope, and the scope on the current M14 is quite a lot like the one on the FM FAL above, same calibre etc, so seemed quite a good choice
