New Korengal opinions

Hey guys,

Please give my your opinions of the new Korengal. I'm not looking for bugs or errors right now just the over all feeling. Any battle AAR would be great.

    Unfortunately, when base rape is allowed, no squads get out.

    Any HARDCORE member led squad can get out of the main and avoid major firefights, and actually look for caches, but all the pubbers dont understand that staying in and trying to kill whats base raping is killing OUR tickets.

    Ultimately, we lose because of lack of strategy by pubbers, or their lack to withhold fire to get out and run.

    Base was MUCH better off where it was. However the new base look is nice. Just not enough for one to two taliban squads to completely overwhelm the US.

    Still though.... I can manage, but the rest of them cant....

    I thought the new US main would/should be up in the northern part of the map. It would have the same tactic of hurrying to secure the oupost, but easier to defend it with the main being north of it/overlooking it. Maybe make a path from the main along the northern edge of the map with roads that dropped south along it. That would make the outpost feel more like a Forward Base.

    Looking at the code a bit, a piece was moved or replaced as there should be two starting positions for the US. The outpost and a temporary areas near the old base. this should have a logi truck.

    There should only be cache spawning and Taliban main spawning. Both Fuzzhead and I were collaborating on the spawns and gameplay and it might of been left in by accident.

    Thanks for pointing it out! Now I understand the frustration. I have yet to play the Taliban as I was babysitting the US team every time
    My apologies guys, I wasent aware that spawn was still in. It will be removed next version.

    There is no spawns except in the main Taliban area. But I will still look into improving the US chance by spreading out the spawns in a certain way. Plus the new fields should be going in as well. Hopefully a lag fixer.

    I tried to improve a few items in the latest internal beta. Not all these fixed/improvements will make the cut these are what is planed.
    • (DONE) New short term spawns for the US include (blackhawk down area, old camp Murphy with two humvees and a supply truck)
    • (DONE) Swapped two of the four Humvees with the CROWS system
    • (DONE) Taliban extra limited RP were removed
    • (DONE) Outpost stuck MG is fixed
    • (DONE) Replacing all the old fields with the new ones. Hopefully will decrease lag for many

    Nice CROWS humvees!!! I love those. I went 40-0 on one of the INS maps, forget the name of it, but its the one with the Mosque that sticks out way North and is to the West of the US Main.

    Those improvements will be really nice. Nice to see all those spawns were removed for Taliban as well.
