Exclamation FIX: Warning screen after launching with pr.exe

PR Batch Scripts
the fix for people with ALT+F4 warning screens even after using pr.exe shortcut to start.
(Usually EA Downloader version's owners)
(not tested if it solves the MD5 kicks, but I doubt it does...)

-----------------------------------------------------------------------

Please make sure you really need to use this fix. Read this troubleshooting guide before installing this!

First off, this is an unofficial "product". It has nothing to do with the PR Devs, EA, DICE, your dog or anything else you can think of .

Second, I have no responsibility for any possible hardware and/or software damage that might happen to you while using these files, use at your own risk.

Third, I cannot guarantee it will work for you. It did work for Rawkk, who deserves to be credited for his huge help when it came to testing.
This is still an early beta stage of the fix.

Forth, RTFM!
No, I'm not kidding. Even though the names of the files are quite self-explanatory you might damage some game files if you don't stick to the manual...

Fifth, please make sure you really need to download this file. The game might not work just because you're not using starting the game with a correct shortcut.
The correct shortcut should point to xy\Battlefield 2\mods\pr\pr.exe with "Start in" line containing xy\Battlefield 2.
If the game still shows the warning screen even after you made sure your shortcut is set-up correctly then proceed downloading this file.

Download PR Batch Scripts v0.30:(all versions)

Vista users: Turn of User Account Control (Control Panel > User Accounts) before using these!

Versions:
0.30 *CURRENT*: Bug in the DIY fix's path fixed.
0.25 Major bug regarding DIY fix fixed.
0.20: Changed the code to allow easy Do-It-Yourself fix for ppl with "File not found" problems, added instructions to readme.
0.15: Edited readme (Vista users must run the BATs as admin)
0.10: Initial version

IMPORTANT:
This fix, in the state as it is installed, might not work with Vista for some people. Read the readme for instructions on how to get it to work.

Turn 360 degrees and walk away is what you should do tbh.

I have Vista but..
I can't run the batch files as an administrator.
I tried going "properties" --> Compatibility --> Run as an Administrator but the little checkbox is blurred out.
Then i tried the rightclick "run as administrator" way but didn't work either.

I attached screenshots of the things i did.

I have no clue what to do .

Your Windows account does have admin rights, correct?

EDIT: Also try the following:

Start > Run > (type) cmd

type into the window:
Code:
cd ..
hit ENTER

Right-click, Mark, mark all the text in the command windows and press ENTER
Then Copy&Paste here.

I don't think i admin rights as i recently had to re-format my comp and i didn't do anything to it other than install BF2 etc. I am the only person/account who uses this computer.

Heres that code;
Code:
Microsoft Windows [Version 6.0.6000]
Copyright (c) 2006 Microsoft Corporation. All rights reserved.

C:\Users\My Name>cd ..

C:\Users>
That's all it said, sorry if i'm a bit slow, only 14

Download this file, put it in your BF2 folder\mods\pr\_BAT scripts_

Then run it and follow the instructions.

EDIT:
Where the hell did the link go?

Hurrah, works great for my copy (digital download from EA downloader)

Cheers Deadfast!

Respect the R-Staff, they are pretty...pretty badass
so, if you don't like PR, get a refund

I tried this and it worked. I can play pr now.

But the next thing I wonder is: Are there any other possible problems left caused by the EA downloader version of bf2 in conjuction with pr? I mean did this fix solve the whole issue or just removed the warning screen?

To cut it short, it just does what pr.exe should do (removing warning screen+moving shader files) .
